Jennie Matthias became lead vocalist to The Bellestars in the early 1980’s. The Bellestars were an all-girl band whose main members were originally in the female cult Ska band The Body Snatchers. They started their first ever European tour with The Clash and then went on to support Madness, Elvis Costello and The Police, they soon became a top act themselves having the likes of The Alarm supporting them on their own headlining tours.
